In a stunning location, on the waters edge of the remote island of St Agnes, Troytown Campsite enjoys incredible panoramic views across the Atlantic, taking in the Bishop Rock Lighthouse, the rugged western rocks and the uninhabited island of Annet.

Wake up to the sound of the sea, spend your day relaxing by the clear water and white sands of the campsite beach (with easy access and safe swimming), then after some alfresco dining, watch the sunset from your tent and count shooting stars in the night sky.

The modern facilities the campsite offers are contained within a traditional style granite building and comprise modern toilets, handbasins (hot and cold water), shaver points, hand and hair dryers. The shower room has four separate cubicles with token operated hot showers. There is a washing up room and a laundry room with a sink, coin-operated washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities. There is a baby-changing table. Troytown has its own, regularly tested, water supply.

At peak times the campsite is the perfect family site, visited by the same people year after year for the sandy beaches, fabulous views, and the safe, traffic free environment. During off peak times the campsite is the perfect retreat, with peace and quiet and beautiful scenery in abundance. Just watching the ever changing sea and sky can keep you busy for days on end.
The island of St Agnes is only one mile across so the many carns and coves can be explored on foot. St Agnes and the adjoining island of Gugh are beautiful and unspoilt, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Outside of peak times, you are welcome to arrive at short notice, if you would like us to transport your luggage then please let us know when you are arriving. Larger parties can be accomodated in a separate field, but need to be booked in advance, we often host school groups and diving clubs etc.

It is possible for us to collect trailers or trailer tents and transport them across the island. If you wish to bring a trailer, please check dates with the Steamship Company before confirming your holiday dates at Troytown.

Dogs are permitted on the campsite, but only a few dogs will be accepted at Troytown at any one time. It is essential to arrange this with us prior to your arrival, and there is a limit of one dog per group at peak times. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead on the site and around the farm and they cause no nuisance by barking or fouling.

We sell produce from our small shop the farm: Our delicious ice cream, fresh milk, clotted cream, butter, yoghurt, potatoes and other seasonal vegetables. We have beef and pork reared on the farm available from the freezer. In addition we sell most varieties of gas cartridge, paraffin and methylated spirits. Ice packs can be frozen. Camping gaz and calor gas cylinder refills are available. .....more>>
